Before beginning any study it is important, as a believer, to have confessed your sins to God in accordance with 1Jn.1:9 so that you may be in fellowship, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and ready to learn Bible Doctrine.

If you are not a believer in Christ as your savior, then confession of your known sin is not the issue. The issue for you is what are you going to do with the Gospel?

The Gospel message says:

<> You are a sinner. [Eccl.7:20; Rom.3:23; 1Jn.1:8; Ps.14:2,3]

<> God hates your sin, but He loves you. [Jn.3:16]

<> The penalty for sin is separation from God (spiritual death). [Rom.6:23; 2Thes.1:8,9]

<> Because sin can't exist in a perfect Heaven, then when you die you will go to Hell. [Isa.59:2; Ps.5:4,5; Rev.21:27]

<> God doesn't want this to happen, but someone must pay the sin debt. Because He loves you He came to Earth as a man to pay the penalty Himself. [2Cor.5:21; 1Pet.3:18; 2:24; Tit.2:14]

<> God the Son died on the cross, went to Hell, rose again three days later and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. [Ma.12:40; 17:23; 28:6,7]

<> Christ has paid off your sin debt and has earned your everlasting life. [2Cor.5:21; Rom.5:8,9]

<> Jesus would like to give you your everlasting life as a gift. You can't pay for it, or try to earn it. It is provided only as a gift to those that accept it on faith alone. [Rom.4:5; Eph.2: 8,9]

<> To accept the gift on faith is to believe, or trust, wholly and only that Christ's payment on the cross fully covered your sin debt and that the benefit of this payment (eternal life) is offered as a gift only to those who believe Christ made the whole payment. [Lu.7: 50; Acts 10:43; 16:31]

<> As soon as you trust Christ you receive everlasting life. Not when you die, but right now! No matter what happens you will always have a home waiting for you in Heaven, because everlasting life is everlasting. [Jn.3:36; 6:37,39,47; 1Pet.1:4,5]

<> Going to church is good, but it won't pay for your sin!

<> Living a good life is admirable, but it won't pay for your sin!

<> Asking Jesus into your heart is popular, but it won't pay for your sin!

<> Making Jesus the lord and master of your life is a frequently heard requirement, but it can't lead to salvation because it can't pay for your sin!

<> Praying the "sinner's prayer" is also popular, but it won't pay for your sin!

<> None of your works will satisfy your sin debt. Only a sinless death will satisfy the payment and Christ completed that payment on the cross when He said, "It is finished." There is nothing left for you to do except to either believe it or reject it! [Eph.2: 8,9; Rom.4:5; 9:30-32; 11:6; Gal.2:16; 3:11; Tit.3:5]

<> Adding your own works as "icing on the cake" is not an option! [Rom.11:6]

The most important decision you will ever make is the decision to accept, or reject the Gospel. Remember, there are no unbelievers in Hell--they all become believers the instant they arrive! By then it's too late. Now it is your opportunity to place your trust in God's ability to save. You decide.

Okay, if you have understood and Gospel and placed your full trust and faith in God's plan to cover your sin debt then you are saved.

If this is the first time you can recall actually understanding and believing the Gospel (that is, you are finally putting the salvation 'puzzle pieces' together and believing in the resulting picture of grace minus all of your works), then please click the link below. We won't try to contact you or collect any information about you. We won't do anything at all (unless you ask us to). We just like to be encouraged from time-to-time that the website is having an impact.

Click here if as a result of what you have read you now understand the Gospel and are trusting in Christ.
